CAMPS AND CLINICS

Joe French Head Softball coach would like to announce the UMBC Winter Clinics Dates. They will On Saturdays February 7 and February 14, 2009 from 9am-1pm. The clinics will cover Pitching, Hitting and Fielding. The clinics will be for girls aged 8-18. The Cost is $60 for 1 session and $105.00 for both sessions. The clinic will be run by the UMBC Coaching Staff, Current UMBC Team and Guest Coaches. These clinics have filled up fast in the past, so please register early. During French's tenure the Retrievers have won 243 games in 7 Years including three 40 plus win seasons. Year after year his teams and players have been ranked among the NCAA Leaders in Hitting Statistics. They open their 2009 season on February 20 in the USC_Upstate Tourney.

EBA (Elite Baseball Advisors) are offering an Off-Season Training Program featuring strength and conditioning workouts. The program will be run by professional athlete Gerard Haran, Division 1 softball standout Kaitlin Calogera as well as the rest of the EBA staff. We are committed to building upon the strength and weaknesses of the competitive athlete through agility and plyo-metric training as well as both dynamic and static stretching. This particular clinic will focus on both low impact and high impact exercises that will strengthen and test core, lateral movements and range of motion. We offer several subscriptions that will include this training, as well as all-you-can-hit opportunities, evaluations, and Q & A with parents and coaches. This is a great program for the serious up and coming softball player looking to improve their skills for the travel, high school and collegiate levels.
